【RECIPE】Gut Healthy Cinnamon Dates Smoothie

Today I’m going to share a gut-friendly fermented smoothie. This smoothie is packed with fiber, probiotics, and healthy fats—all of which support digestion and help balance your gut microbiome.

R’s KOSO: Your Daily All-in-One Gut Support

R’s KOSO is a Japanese fermented drink concentrate that combines prebiotics, probiotics, and postbiotics in one. It supports digestion, gut health, and even your immune system.

The Gut-Friendly Benefits of Dates

We also add dates, which are naturally rich in fiber to support digestion and help feed the good bacteria in your gut. Their natural sweetness also makes this smoothie delicious without refined sugar. If you are using medjool dates, you probably need only one or two since they are larger. If you are using smaller dates like we did in the video, add 2~3.

Why Cinnamon is a Natural Superfood

Ceylon cinnamon (aka true cinnamon) not only adds warmth and flavor, but it is also loaded with powerful antioxidants, especially polyphenols. These antioxidants protect the body from oxidative stress caused by free radicals and have strong anti-inflammatory effects, helping to calm chronic inflammation that can damage tissues over time. Regular consumption of cinnamon has also been linked to better heart health. Several studies show it can help lower triglycerides, LDL cholesterol, blood sugar, and even blood pressure when taken consistently.

The Gut-Friendly Benefits of Ceylon Cinnamon

For gut health, the polyphenols in cinnamon act as prebiotics, feeding beneficial gut bacteria and helping them thrive. By supporting a healthier balance of the microbiome, cinnamon’s polyphenols not only enhance digestion but also reduce inflammation in the gut lining, making this spice a powerful ally for both digestive and overall wellness.

By combining R’s KOSO with gut-friendly foods like dates and cinnamon, this smoothie becomes more than just a tasty drink; it is a daily step toward better digestion, balanced energy, and overall vitality.

Make it part of your daily routine and feel the difference from the inside out.
